Brought in to help manage and edit SELF’s 10th anniversary Breast Cancer Handbook. The handbook is an annual section that appears not only in the magazine but gains wide national distribution through various health care organizations. July-August 2000.

Gender & Health is the consumer magazine of the Partnership for Women’s Health at Columbia, a nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering research in gender-specific medicine. The Partnership is headed by Dr. Marianne J. Legato. 1998-1999.

Your Family's Health was a Gruner+Jahr special interest publication produced through a joint venture of Family Circle and U.S. News & World Report. As executive editor, responsibilities included: coordinating production, fact checking and copy editing; assignment of articles; editing and writing; coordination of editorial contributions of Family Circle and U.S. News & World Report. Publication date: October 1997.

D&M Publishing provides custom publishing services, including magazine development and editorial production, book packaging, and Web site development to a variety of clients including P&G, the Partnership for Women’s Health at Columbia, SCA, Inc, Lampertz Technologies, MNI Group, Inc., and more. Established McDonald Publishing’s Book Division for Working Mother. Packaged and sold to St. Martin’s Press: Working Mother TIME and The Working Mother Cookbook. Both books published in 2000. The company launched McIntosh Golf Guides; the first volume, Public Access Golf in Central Florida.

Senior Editor/Health Editor; feature writer. Extensive writing and editing of parenting-related features. Developed editorial content for the magazine's original website. October 1995-November 1996. Left to launch D&M Publishing, which established the Working Mother book division.

First Magazine
Developed and directed the features department of this national women's magazine. 17 issues a year. Generated 24 articles an issue, ranging from one-page relationship stories to special medical reports. Supervised staff of seven full time features editors, five permanent freelance editors and four contributing editors. Responsible for establishing editorial content, editing, writing and cover planning. Selected and oversaw photos and art for features. Managed departmental budget.
Joined the magazine as contributing editor in December 1988, during start up. Premier issue hit newsstands in March 1989. Features Editor, April 1989; Senior Editor, April 1990; Executive Editor, February 1991 January 1993.
